In the last few years, I have had to learn this lesson over and over again. It is so easy to make mistakes. It is so easy to forget some of the things that I should have done yesterday. And, it is so easy to not do some of the things that I should have done, but did not do.

But, there is no more important lesson than the one that tells us that mistakes are not just made on one day, but they can follow us for years and even decades. For example, just the other day I lost $300 because I did not keep my receipts since I was traveling. That money could have come in very handy for my trip home or any future travels.

The lesson of yesterday’s mistake is always with me until I do something about it.
